A big welcome to Betta Paradise and we hope you enjoy your stay.
Our names are Netty and Andy and we are a husband and wife team based in sunny Cornwall. Not only are we passionate about our Bettas but also have 6 dogs, 2 cats and 23 reptiles from snakes to Geckos and Bearded Dragons. With our dogs we have competed successfully in agility for the past 7 years and have also qualified 2 years running for Crufts with our 2 Border Terriers.
Back to Bettas..Netty got her first Betta 24 years ago when she was living in America and once back in the UK continued keeping Bettas for a few years.
Andy first starting keep tropical fish 25 years ago and has had basic community tanks, brackish tanks and marine set ups over the years.
A friend gave us a free tank which Andy planned to use as a community tank. Not to be outdone Netty decided she would get a small tank and ordered a beautiful Purple Halfmoon Betta called Taro, who was shipped from Thailand. Gradually the plans for Andy's community tank fell by the wayside and it became our Betta girls sorority tank.
After a lot of research we decided to try breeding and Taro was the beginning of the lines we are still working with today.
So now please feel free to browse. We will keep you updated on current and future spawns and there will be Bettas available to buy.
